This is kind of cool. There's a plethora of 1 mana artifacts and artifact payoff's a variety of decks can be built with this framework. There are soft, synergy, and perhaps hard combo's availble in this cluster. Some General highlights include:
The manabase, as there are actually a plethora of rainbow lands if we lower our standards a bit, and some very functional colorless lands.

Apparatus, Dart, Candle providing scaling removal that build an artifact count in the early game. Sentinel Totem, Silent Gravestone, Fountain of Renewal also build the artifact count with side benefits. If a payoff can be developed for an early artifact count, then the incidental value of these cards are really good. Chamber Sentry and Mox opal are lumped in here, and Jhoira, Karn, Sai, Storm the Vault, and Artificer's Assistant seem particularly apt uses. Along these lines, spell swindle and Brass's Bounty also potentially put a lot of artifacts into play at once.

Thaumatic Compass and Icy manipulator (and Detection Tower in the manabase) Allow for almost endless amounts of creature control. Add a sweeper into the mix and the planewalkers should take over any creature based game.

There's also a clear ramp shell utilizing a 3 cmc rock, gilded lotus, and treasure. Meteor Golem, Haphazard Bombardment, and the Compass/Icy plan see the route this deck would take. This is also the control deck, trading the one mana artifacts for real cards, and perhaps splashing for control elements (sweepers/counters). This is the Tezzeret Weatherlight.

The Aggro shell utilizes the color "buddy cards", like the U 2/2, 2/1 unblockable, Karn tokens, Captain lannery storm, plunderer, Sparring Construct, prying bar, and Sai. It's about artifact velocity and big creatures quick. Finding the right balance of artifacts cards and the "buddy cards" will be key to this build. This is the Captain Lannery Storm Weatherlight.

Hard combo is one of these shelss as a base that encorporates some busted interaction that wins the game on the spot. For aggro, there seems to be something in the one mana artifacts, cards that produce a lot of artifacts quickly, and "buddy cards" that weren't designed for a lot of srtifacts quickly. For the ramp/control build, there are a lot of mana and recurrsive engines that can be built, all of which could take over a game. It will be about how quickly and reliably this can happen while still engaging in a normal game. Some examples include infinite recursion loops and spewing the entire deck out with a cost reducer+ Jhoira. Jhoira probably captains this crew.

Anitiquities War is Probably OP in the right build. Double cantrip and then"ultimate" that should win the game on the spot, only beat by settle/enchantment destruction, so with counter spell backup should be insane. 4 artifacts = 20 damage. On T6, I should have a lot more than 4 artifacts. Clearly competes with Karn for space, but still.
