Notes

Although this started out as a "I love drafting Slither Blade Aggro", it quickly veered off the brew train. I have to stop for the day, to do actual work work. But what I've discovered is interesting as a potential shell that could both aggro out and grind, and have a combo finish, almost mono green:

Loam Dryad
Ornithopter
Gnarlwood dryad
Tireless Tracker
Animation Module
Nissa, Voice of Zendikar
Traverse the Ulvenwald
Harvest Season
Cryptolith Rite
Ishkanah
Throne of the God-Pharoh

There's a lot of interesting synergies in these cards. There seems to be an engine between tirelss tracker, animation module, cryptolith rite, and harvest season that allows for potentially exponential card draw and mana acceleration, spewing your deck out at a higher rate turn after turn. If I can streamline this interaction, I could potentially just "go off" with redundant elements. I don't know if haste, other card draw, mass creature drops, or tutors are needed to be explosive, but I know I would need to be able to basically reach a tipping point where I play my entire deck out, and within T5 in the current meta. An interesting synergistic payoff is Ishkanah and Throne of the God-Pharoh. The latter turns my process into a burn spell, the former acts as the potential mass creature drop I mentioned, and then provides a sink of burn. Imagine a game where I get two delerium Ishkanah's, cryptolih rite, and throne. I can tap seven spiders to do 7 damage, and throne does another 7 mininum, + all other tapped creatures. At that stage of the game I can just start fireballing my opponent for obscene amounts of damage. I wonder if there are to many elements to this where I would have to many durdly draws, more like an edh idea, but if the engine could be refined the deck would be very interesting, and difficult to attack. If I could justify it, paradox engine could be the final piece to make it roll all the way.

6/13 It's a real bummer that Sam Black has his abzan token build. It's hard not to lean into that, although I think my idea is still separate, but superiority will be the question. I had an idea today about loam dryad and ornithopter. If these are in your opener, it allows 3 mana on T2 with two tapped creatures. I was thinking what I would want to cast for three with two tapped creatures, and it occured to me that harvest season is already in the deck! T3 5 mana! Verdous Gearhulk, Tireless tracker into clue crack, Nissa Vital Force, Samut! I think I'm just scratching the surface on what a god hand would be like. And it could all get offensive. I also thought about Night Market Lookout. Sickness, like an early part of throne and Ishkanah, and it's offensively fine too! And the lifegain is sweet. There's a deck here, I smell it, and I think it could be cooler and better than a hidden stockpile/annoited procession deck:)

6/14 So I traded for a few of the staples last night, and pulled a few this morning to lay it out. After visualizing it, the heart of the deck is green, and it's strength is redundancy. Looking at this, it seemed like delerium was to much of a stretch, and the activation on Ishkanah redundant. I can achieve the same effect with a weaponscraft enthusiast and throne, which are also lower to the ground, and require no setup. I also realized that I just needed one such activation, so the back half of cut to ribbons would suffice and be more functional. Once Ishkanah came out, it was more clear that harvest season is perhaps the most powerful card in the deck, so leaning into it more made sense. I had a brief love affair with night market lookout as a source of lifegain and aggression. Now I was moving in the low to the ground effect I wanted. But having a black 1 drop strained the early manabase too much, as I want as many basics as I can get without flooding. Then it occured to me, Jaddi Ofshoot! What a beast! Likely to gain me way more life than the lookout, especially with a resolved harvest season! And it makes a great mana dork. Merchants dockhand adds the selection the deck needs, is another tap outlet, and works exceptionally with a bagillion clues. Oroshi cultivator also is a consideration. I decided to pull the trigger on the remaining staqples since they are dirt cheap currently, and don't want to weight for one of them to randomly spike as I try to piece it together from trade binders. And in my ordering, I came upon Omnath, locus of rage. The deck is vulnerable to being swept, and really needs to continually build a crit mass. Omnath is such a sweet payoff, come down as early as T4 pretty regularly. Can you imagine resolving a harvest season with this in play? I definitely can, and it makes sweeping the board a nightmare. And even if it's subpar when it lands, the incidental tokens will help develop the crit mass again, as well as being a continuing problem for my opponent. The setup omnath requires to be broken is already the focus of the deck, so better than delerium that way, and the passive insurance against sweepers is unique. The size of the bodies also promotes more functionality, so that there dead in all ways. The doomsday device no longer had spiders, but now has 4 cards that have a "landfall" trigger. What happens when the lands strike back? Global warming! Gaea, the God-Pharoh.

I'm a bit concerned about card flow. This a at heart a combo synergy based deck, and one that needs crit mass, comparable to affinity. Tireless tracker is everything thing in this deck, and will likely die much of the time. Merchants dockhand is a soft tutor, which is great for how it's built in , but by no means is explosive or immediate. Getting an emblem off of Nissa will solve all problems, but of course I'm skeptical about getting there. I imagine there will be several hands/games/matches where i drop my whole hand of nonsense and loose to anything. I have such minimal interaction that I have limited ability to stall until I "go off", as each individual creature is important and chump block a losing proposition. Perhaps dusk/dawn is neccessary/ servicable.
