Notes
I haven't touched this deck in awhile, and I had middling results last time. I think you can build in a version based off sylvan awakening that don't play creatures though, a two card combo. A version more focused on putting lands into play and bigger draw spells. You just play out a normal ramp game, and then go off. It could be more redundant, and a quicker pace.
After messing around with it a bit, you don't have to combo as hard as the other deck. Ascendancy into sylvan awakening is around 20 damage with a mere 3 cantrips. You can amass more mana more quickly too, so having natural sinks will be good, and likely largely facilitated through glittering wish. With this, each cantrip nets so much mana that you can go up the chain of spells mana cost's a little easier. Without sylvan awakening you can't go off though, so it does warp the deck to trying to find a consistent way to get it in hand similar to ascendancy. We have more mana in theory though, so this gives us more options. So velocity is the key. Some number of free spells for the ability to generate the combo from scratch is good. There is also tension with wanting some number of the enchantment land ramp spells. These spells still dodge the same hate, and allow for the fast starts the deck wants. They also ensure mana, if that matters. The best does require further restrictions as it needs a forest for most effectiveness, which pushes us to fetches. How good these are needs to be tested, and mana is definitely not the issue. We also get into a chain where our lands can be used for utility, like arch of orazca if we can afford it. Search for Azcanta is really great if we can flip it, but might be entirely to slow. the loop between the first sylvan awakening's and subsequent is interesting, as if you can cheat a land into play it will become part of the loop. This make me think that land tutors might be better, or cantrips like explore, or go really big with splendid reclamation. Because we can go bigger though, it might just make more sense to not put effort in this.

Interesting thought, what happens if we are more on the enchant land route, can we use tango lands and cycling duals? Cycling duals mitigate the getting marooned problem, adds velocity in the manabase. Tango can come into play untapped sometimes. Also asks the question of life for The loam, which would completely make a no running out of gas machine with cycling lands. Pieces of puzzle gets that much better, and visions of beyond. Build towards a big mana kill redundantly, and enchantments mitigate tap lands. It's like a more proactive search for azcanta.
Eureke! A list is born. Once I realized life from the loam completely solves the ascendancy problem as it offers cards for land, restocked repeatedly, and offers added selection with cycling lands, it all slid into place. Pieces of the puzzle still seems great, I want to try forbidden alchemy instead though. It's pretty awesome. It's instant instead of sorcery, grabs and card and mills 1 less, and still offers two cards because of flashback. Because we can make black, it reads grab two top 8 mill rest double ascendancy activation. It acts as a mana sink, as does loam, which the d do really needed. Man loam is so busted with ascendancy. How was it missed? Boborygmos could be in the side! Can't wait to try it out. It's possible that this list is so redundant that we go off on T2 10%, T3 40%, and T4 50%, never past. Just a little more dependable than storm, and no relianc on creatures. More graveyard dependent, but not reliant, and wish is a pretty insane card.
Another epiphany. Their is a third cantrip to have 3 of. I had chosen visions of beyond over opt for velocity. With addition of more selective cantrips and loam we have all the velocity we need. This prompts the idea of more value cantrips. Maybe this is the removal slot, but quicken seems excellent. Almost all the sorceries benefit from this, but none more than glittering wish, which at three mana instant speed cantrip is just plain excellent, and let's the deck go off at more opportune moments.
