Notes

This will undoubtedly strike Dave as all too familiar, but it comes with some significant improvements. The inclusion of Sun Droplet is nice, as it gives me a steady stream of life if I have taken damage. Similarly, Moonlit Wake keeps me getting bonuses on the death of anything. Cleansing is something I can afford better than my opponents can. Kjeldoran Outposts can produce chump blockers that trigger life gaining for me. Kusari-Gama is vicious in any deck where I can mount a significant threat creature. But the fun part is the Ajani Goldmane-Surestrike Trident possibility (the trident is also good with Pridemates): if I have more life than my opponent, I attach it to, ideally, the Avatar produced by Ajani, then tap and win the game. The curve is very low at 17/12/8/1/0/2, but I opted for 19 man-producing land, which gives me ideal balance for 3 land in 3 turns (29.18%). It has a frighteningly inexpensive 2.03 average.
