Notes

I was looking for a way to use Worldspine Wurm, but that meant ramping hard on the mana curve. Drawing more cards and being able to play more lands seemed like a good idea, as did a touch of land fetch. As this meant a more rapid deployment of land, I also wanted to bring in cards that took advantage of that, though some were omitted (Aspect of Wolf) or reduced from max (Primal Bellow) in order to accomodate greater breadth of options. The (1)/22/5/2/8/0/0/0/0/0/0/2 curve averages 2.30, but absent the two copies of Worldspine Wurm, it is under 2. The name is just the German for "Strong forests," which I decided on because of the German Unlimited pack I won as part of a Magic trivia competition many years ago.
