There were just no good ideas coming from my aborted attempt to do a huge review. I ended up coming back and looking at convoke, then adding similar discounts (hence the name that plays off of old Mervyn's sale commercials). awakener Druids get me a 1/1 and a 4/5 for [2][G]. Dungrove Elder grows as I add forests. Feral Incarnation, Kavu Primarch, Overwhelm, Siege Wurm, Tangle Golem, and Will-Forged Golem all come with possible discounts. The Oran-Rief Hydra is just there to grow. Othe cards give me trample or enhance mana. This is my version of a mid-range deck. The 17/4/7/4/1/1/5/0/1 curve looks way off for me, and it averages 2.93 on paper, but there are so many ways that those most expensive spells come down that I expect the reality is more of 2.45 or so, coming from mana sources.
