Deck Name: Hydra’s Genesis
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Format: Modern
Deck Type: Mechanic-Based Big Mana Ramp
Colors: Mono-Green
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

"Hydra’s Genesis" is a Modern-legal, Mechanic-Based Big Mana Ramp deck designed to generate explosive amounts of mana and unleash massive Hydras that dominate the battlefield. By leveraging Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, The Great Henge, Cultivate, and Unbound Flourishing, this deck ensures that each turn leads to bigger and stronger threats.

Unlike traditional ramp decks, Hydra's Genesis focuses on X-cost creatures as its main threats, using Unbound Flourishing to double their power and maximize their impact. Hydras like Voracious Hydra, Hydra Broodmaster, and Polukranos, World Eater thrive on excessive mana, growing to immense sizes while simultaneously controlling the battlefield. Garruk’s Uprising and Return of the Wildspeaker provide essential card draw and give your creatures trample, ensuring they can deal lethal damage.

In multiplayer settings, this deck maintains board presence with constant threats, while Heroic Intervention and Veil of Summer provide resilience against control and board wipes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game (Turns 1-3) – Setting Up
✅ Deploy Llanowar Elves, Leafkin Druid, or Sylvan Caryatid to accelerate your mana.
✅ Cast Cultivate to ramp and ensure you have consistent land drops.
✅ Play Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx early to set up for explosive plays in the mid-game.

Mid Game (Turns 4-7) – Dropping Big Threats
✅ Cast your first Hydras, such as Voracious Hydra (removal mode) or Hooded Hydra.
✅ Resolve The Great Henge for life gain, card draw, and additional ramp.
✅ Establish board presence with Garruk’s Uprising, granting trample and drawing cards.

Late Game (Turns 8+) – Closing the Game
✅ Activate Hydra Broodmaster’s Monstrosity to flood the board with X/X Hydras.
✅ Cast Return of the Wildspeaker for massive card draw or an overwhelming damage boost.
✅ Protect your board state with Heroic Intervention to avoid mass removal.

How the Ramp & Hydras Strategy Works

The deck thrives on mana ramp and exponential creature growth, turning small investments into massive game-ending threats:
Unbound Flourishing doubles the power of X-cost spells, making Hydras overwhelming.
The Great Henge fuels additional card draw and accelerates your creatures.
Polukranos, World Eater serves as both a powerful threat and removal tool.
Hydra Broodmaster converts excess mana into an unstoppable army.
Primal Might and Voracious Hydra act as both removal and combat tricks.

With these elements in place, Hydra’s Genesis overwhelms opponents before they can mount a defense.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sideboard Strategy

Against Control Decks:
+2 Veil of Summer – Protects against counterspells and discard.

Against Artifact/Enchantment-Based Decks:
+2 Reclamation Sage – Efficient removal for problem permanents.
+1 Unravel the Aether, +1 Mystic Repeal – Additional anti-enchantment tech.

Against Aggro Decks:
+2 Heroic Intervention – Protects against board wipes and damage-based removal.
+2 Scavenging Ooze – Provides lifegain and graveyard control.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hydra’s Genesis" is perfect for players who enjoy big mana strategies and overwhelming board presence. The deck rewards strategic ramping and sequencing, ensuring that each turn contributes to an unstoppable force.
