Notes

ANDREA MENGUCCI'S LEGACY MERFOLK

Merfolk is very much an Aether Vial deck, and games with Vial tend to be much easier than those without. Either way, the goal of this deck is to fill the board with Merfolk lords and various flavors of fish, at which point it runs the opponent over with ease.

This version is a little light on disruption, as it trades Wasteland for Mutavault, but Force of Will plus Chalice of the Void go a long way. Plus, Merfolk Trickster can disrupt most creature-based combos.

If you want to see the deck in action, Andrea took this deck into the Legacy queues—check out his "veedeo" here.

Will Merfolk rise to the top again, and do these new Merfolk give the deck the legs it’s been missing? Time will tell.
