If I was running this again for the 3/24 PTQ, mods
I would make to the MD are -1 Elspeth, -1 Crusader, +1 Angelic Destiny,
+1 Path. To SB, would be -2 Scryb Ranger, -1 Celestial Purge, +3 Jotun
Grunt.
So, I went 5-2 at yesterday's PTQ with this list. Losses were to Domain Zoo and Affinity. Wins were agains Fae twice, Affinity, RWU aggro, and Splinter Twin.
It's a load of fun. Consistent T1 mana dork, T2
Geist/Crusader/KOTR, T3 Elspeth is a real beating. Also, Explosives on 2
doesn't do anything to the deck (except Pridemage, but w/e), but
annihilates many opposing boards, Goyf, Bob, etc. Lack of 2-drops also
avoids Spell Snare. Strongest matchups are Jund and Junk/Gifts. Twin and
Affinity can be tough, but are usually 50/50. Find myself siding out KotR most often, and putting in Grunts. May be a MD swap, but then need to decide on 1-of lands and maybe add more EEs.
