Round 1:  2-0 vs. Bant Initiative (Stasis) Control
  +2 wins in exhibition rounds
Round 2: 2-0 vs. Mono-White Initiative (Phil Williams)
Round 3: 2-0 vs. Esper Stoneblade Control (with Thopter Foundry combo) (Colin Wu)
Finals: 0-2 vs. Food Chain combo (Jake W)


2nd Tournament (Gamer's Gauntlet - Feb 2023) 2/11/2023
4th place out of 15 people (3-1 record)
Round 1: 1-2 vs 4-color Uro/Minsc pile (John McGarry) (w/ PE, STP);  combo win in game 1, after using Cabal Therapy and blind naming Force of Will on my opponent and getting 2 copies;  game 2 got stuck on 1 land for 7 turns, and opponent went wild with Uro - lost this one; game 3 - we had <10 mins on the clock, I went for my combo on turn 2 with little protection, opponent FOW the dread return for the win;  (note: Karakas was cut from the deck, but would have been good against Uro & Boo)
Round 2: bye!
Round 3: 2-1 vs ANT Storm (Scott W.) game 1 - won with the combo after opponent Thoughtseize'd shuko - I saga'd for a second copy, played illusionist and he scooped; game 2 - lost to tendrils combo after some disruptive discard, and countering the wishclaw talisman; game 3 - landed an early saga, and EOT'd wizardcycle for illusionist, with shuko on board the opponent conceded
Round 4: 2-0 against Mono Black Helm combo (Terrence)  game 1 - opponent started with Leyline, I had 2 counter spells for Karn Great Creator (Dazed) and Opposition Agent (FOW'd), and used Teferi to bounce Leyline, opponent had Snuff Out but used it on an early Stoneforge Mystic instead  - performed the entire combo but milled my deck with only 2 narcomoeba in it (pitched one to FOW) and a Illusionist/Shuko in play. Thassa Oracle is in my hand, and I don't have enough creatures on board to flashback Cabal Therapy and Dread return. I go to sac 3 creatures for Dread Return and the opponent scoops "I know you have it, just wanted to see your deck". game 2 opponent leads with Dauthi Voidwalker (I FOW'd),  I assembled the combo with Shuko and the opponent uses Snuff OUt on Illusionist - I counter with a second FOW and win the game.
