Notes

Game-plan is to build up your mana while keeping the board under control. Control can be achieved by either Mystic Barrier or a WoG effect every now and then.

If you have Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery out, those help alot. You can just EOT. play a PW and keep mana up for a WoG effect when needed. If you have enough mana, instead EOT. a Conflux for Doubling Season and some instant insane Ultimate PW's including at least Ral Zarek. He will give you at least 1 or 2 extra turns, depending on the flips. Proceed to win the game from there.

Other good interactions are:
- Tamiyo's emblem and any WoG effect, preferably Decree for extra card-draw.
- Extra mana from PW's including Ral Zarek, Garruk 1.0, Teferi. Gilded Lotus will often work overtime with those.

Conflux packages:
G: Doubling Season
W: Hallowed Burrial / Terminus
U: Tamiyo / Temporal Mastery / Teferi / Jace Architect
B: Decree / Liliana
R: Ral Zarek / Ajani Vengeant

Try to win as soon as possible after pulling the Conflux trigger, because it paints a big bullseye on you. Doubling Season shouldn't last long. If it does, educate your play-group. It's the prime target card in your deck, although its need is overrated. You can operate quite nicely without it.

Rating PW's:
When rating PW's, ask yourself these questions:
- Does it pass the Doubling Season test? (can it Ultimate with a Doubling Season in play? If it lives after that, even better). (eg. Ugin, Bolas, Tamiyo)
- Does it protect itself? (eg. Tamiyo, Ajani Vengeant, Garruk's beasts, Elspeth etc.)
- Does it do so with a + ability? (not Ajani Vengeant, Garruk 1.0, Jace TMS)
- Does it draw cards? (Most Jaces, Sarkhan Unbroken)
- Does it fix or ramp mana? (Ral Zarek, Garruk 1.0, Sarkhan Unbroken)
- Is the Ultimate any good? (Ugin, Bolas, Ral Zarek)
- Does it have a high starting loyalty? (Ugin, Karn)
- Does it have a high + ability? (Ugin, Karn, Bolas)
- Does it have a low CC? (up to 4 is best)

Great Ultimates (from best to less):
- Ral Zarek (extra turns should win you the game)
- Ugin (Dump your most insane PW's)
- Nicol Bolas (although you could still get alpha-striked after that)
- Jace, Architect (get their WoG effect or any other insane card)
- Jace, Memory Adept (follow up with Ugin's Ult for your 7 most insane PW's)
- Sorin, Solemn Visitor (Should keep the board clear, unless it's already flooded with creatures)
- Sarkhan Vol (10 dragons should be enough blockers to win with PW's)
- Teferi (who needs Doubling Season with this emblem anyway)
- Tamiyo (unlimited resets)
- Venser (Start exiling)
- Ajani Vengeant (not fun)
- Jace, TMS (sure, why not. Although with more opp. it becomes less effective)
- Sorin Markov (should take out at least one other player)

Good Ultimates (no specific order):
- Chandra Nalaar
- Elspeth Knight-Errant (your PW's can still be killed with damage / attacks)
- Garruk Apex Predator (fun)
- Garruk, Primal hunter (sure, but you should be winning at that stage, also: Evacuation)
- Karn (only after exiling enough usable cards, like lands or your own PW's. Although resetting the game is mostly a win by concession)
- Liliana (when enough creatures in your opp. graveyards)
- Sorin, Lord of Innistrad (should get you the best PW's / creatures of your opp.)
- Vraska (fun way to win, and quite challenging for you)

Bad Ultimates (no specific order):
- Ajani Steadfast (unless in multiples)
- Dack Fayden (you don't target much)
- Elspeth Tirel (you don't want to reset all your own stuff)
- Elspeth Sun's Champion (+2/+2 for which creatures?)
- Kiora (what do you need a single 9/9 non-trampler for at that stage?)
- Xenagos (what creatures?)

Planeswalkers rated from worst to best:
- Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver: Can library kill your opponent and given the right circumstances can steal his creatures. Ultimate is nigh impossible to trigger and barely wins you the game.
- Vraska the Unseen: -3 kills a problematic permanent and the DS-proof ultimate is an interesting win.
- Dack Fayden: Good card filtering and artifact stealing. Ultimate does practically nothing in this deck.
- Jace Beleren: A steady stream of cards for a low initial mana investment. Unfortunately doesn't protect itself. The utlimate isn't worthwhile.
- Jace, Memory Adept: Draws you cards until your stuffed. The DS-proof ultimate is insane and should be a jump-start to any of your game-winning combo's. Doesn't protect you though and for 5 mana, that's a hard con.
- Sarkhan Vol: Only in here for his ultimate. With a DS in play, this is basically a 10 dragon army for four mana.
- Elspeth, Knight-Errant: Creates a steady stream of chump blockers and could DS-proof ultimate into indestructible permanents. Unfortunately this will not save your PWs from damage, so while good, it's by no means a gamewinner.
- Elspeth Tirel: Creates a bunch of chump-blockers off the bat. The "ultimate" will mostly destroy your own permanents with it, so never mind going for that one unless you're in a really tight spot.
- Elspeth, Sun's Champion: An ever growing army of chump-blockers that could get out of hand really quickly. Lucky for your opponents, you mostly sweep the board. That's where the -3 fits in: sweep any big dorks on your opponent's side. Quite effective when you use up Elspeth Tirel for two turns and follow it up with Sun's Champion for the -3. The ultimate once again, isn't that effective in this deck, unless you go the odd creatures-attack route.
- Sorin, Lord of Innistrad: A nice stream of chump blockers that could gain you some life for a low mana cost. The DS-proof ultimate can steal you some blockers and opposing PWs. Upside of this stealing is that they come into play untapped and reset to initial stats.
- Sorin, Solemn Visitor: Low cost 2/2 flyers and an ultimate that almost locks down (normal creature-based strategies.
- Gideon Jura: Can lure all creatures away from your other PWs and if it survives hey may also be able to slay some of them off. Of course you're more than happy to slay some critters when he's just entered the game. No ultimate, as Gideon is known for.
- Venser, the Sojourner: Can reset PWs in a pinch and with a newly cast Doubling Season it can start enabling Ultimates in the process. The utlimate, while not DS-proof, can get your game over the top quite quickly. Venser cannot protect himself, so he does need help from other PWs.
- Xenagos, the Reveler: Can create a steady stream of 2/2's which pack a bit more punch than those Elspeth soldiers. On top of that, if you already had a bunch of soldiers, he can mana-accelerate you into insane things. Low mana cost, but don't mind about the ultimate though.
- Garruk relentless: Can fend off a small critter immediately and start churning out 2/2's or 1/1 deathtouchers as well. Low mana cost
- Garruk Wildspeaker: Mana acceleration and big chumpers all for a low mana-cost. Not a relevant ultimate though.
- Garruk, Primal Hunter: A steady stream of big chump blockers and an ability that could draw some cards. The ultimate while not your game-plan, could win you the game.
- Kiora, the Crashing Wave: For a low mana cost, locks down a single permanent for damage until you sweep it away, only to start anew with anything that comes after that. This forces your opponent to overcommit on permanents, only to sweep them away again. If they don't, you can just start drawing cards and playing lands. The utlimate isn't DS-proof, but it does give you a stream of huge krakens. Not your gameplan though.
- Chandra Nalaar: Can burn a single creature up to 5 thoughness. If any less, you can start pinging your opponent. The ultimate (DS-proof) sweeps the board.
- Garruk, Apex Predator: Quite an impressive PW. Can destroy opposing PWs and create a steady stream of 3/3 death-touchers, or fend of some creature. The ultimate is quite funny in multiplayer chaos, giving an emblem to your opponents for a change. High cc though.
- Liliana Vess: Mostly used as a tutor or two, but she can steal all those creatures you swept to defend you. It's also DS-proof.
- Sarkhan Unbroken: Mana acceleration and card-draw in a single + ability? Nice. Can also make 4/4 flying dragons for good defense as well. The ultimate is not for this deck though.
- Jace, Architect of Thought: numbs down you opponents army for a low cost. Singlehandedly shuts down armies of 1/1's. Also, he can dig quite fast into your library to find answers to anything or get to your powercards. You can ultimate off of a DS for a high-power card, and this scales to the number of players. And then there's always someone with a good sweeper in the game.
- Tamiyo, Field Researcher: The -2 lock down even better than Tamiyo 1.0, but since it's a -2 and can only be used twice until she dies, it's only a temporary save. Make sure you get that sweeper. The ultimate is DS-proof and depending on your hand plus those extra three cards, it's a basic win. Hope you have that Conflux ready.
- Ajani Unyielding: Relatively high cc, but does exile problematic creatures. His ultimate can get all your other PWs to ultimate as well, although it's not DS-proof.
- Ajani Vengeant: Locks down a single permanent or kills of a creature. To lock it down, it should be tapped to start with though. His DS-proof ultimate, while very unfun, should kill at least one opponent though.
- Dovin Baan: Low cc and locks down a problematic small or utility creature or gains you cards and life. The ultimate, while not DS-proof, should limit your opponents enough to start your winning game-plan.
- Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury: She gets a steady stream of chumpers, which could instead help you ramp some mana. The disenchant can be very useful as well. The ultimate is only useful when you already have some green creatures in play, but you're probably winning at that point anyway.
- Ob Nixilis Reignited: Kills off creatures and starts drawing you cards. The DS-proof ultimate is devastating to the most irritating opponent. Note the wording says: any player drawing will deal 2 lifeloss to the targeted opponent.
- Karn Liberated: Starts off with 6 loyalty and can go up to 10 immediately. Either that or exile a permanent or two. Note this is one of the few ways to destroy non-creature permanents, so be carefull with him. The ultimate is not DS-proof, but it's really fun if they play along. Mostly though, if you CAN get there, they'll scoop instead. High cc as well.
- Tamiyo, the Moon Sage: Lock a permanent and keep it locked down. Could draw you a bunch of cards if your not winning. The ultimate is DS-proof and gives all your sweepers buyback, while also auto-regrowing your other PWs. That emblem should start wining you the game. Candidate for a Conflux package.
- Jace, the Mind Sculptor: The ultimate card-drawing engine for just 4cc. Protects itself a bit and could also library-lock your opponent. The ultimate is hard to achieve, but insanely hard to not  win with.
- Ral Zarek: Mana-accelerates, kills of some creatures and a DS-proof ultimate that should give you some extra turns to win the game. Almost always in my Conflux package.
- Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh: A bit worse than Bolas PW, this 7-mana monster can auto-win the game with his DS-proof ultimate. The -4 can kill most creatures, but he lacks a really good + ability. Yes, the +2 can get you some really nice presents, but it all depends on your opponent's deck. The +1 is anoying for sure, but it cannot save you from a losing game. Also, technically he doesn't draw you cards from your own deck.
- Teferi, Temporal Archmage: Can draw you cards, mana-accelerates like crazy if unchecked and his DS-proof ultimate is so sick, it'll create rules-nightmares for the rest of the game (aside from winning of course)
- Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker: High-cc, but worth it. Steals creatures to defend with (though they may be tapped when you steal them) and destroys any problematic permanents. As with Karn, make sure you can use his +3 in games where it's needed. His DS-proof ultimate is devastating, but beware of an alpha strike after your opponent just sacks all his lands instead.
- Ugin: This PW checks all marks of an excellent PW, save the expensive CC. He protects himself killing off creatures, using a plus ability no less. Starting loyalty is already 7 and he can sweep the board clean (barring colorless and/or high-cc permanents) upon entering the battlefield. The ultimate (which is DS-proof) should set you up to win the game easily. You only have to get to 8 mana.

Bonus:
- Urza, Academy Headmaster: This is just plain silly. You COULD tinker with your smartphone's DNS and proxy the AskUrza.com site to only return insanely powerful abilities, but let's asume you haven't. Then Urza will still make the game a lot more fun. While most +1 abilities deal with (your) creatures, the -1 abilities mostly get you out of trouble by either damaging, destroying, exiling or stealing creatures. So most of the time, you'll go for that. As for the ultimates, these are a bunch of abilities mostly copied straight off of other PW's. There's only a single one that buffs your creatures and almost none of the others are bad. Just a few are bad in certain situations. Most are just practically wins.
