Playing this last night I think Derevi is still the commander to go with. Double Pod and Pod for 4 whenever you want is huge.

I'd cut the swords. You need to be a swiss army knife. I like Ephara a lot in this deck I need to get one. I don't think the boots or Greaves are needed. If you want to keep one keep the Greaves. I'd also cut Roon he's a little too cute in this deck you gotta crank it up with better abilities,

Maybe a Sphinx's Rev or something to filter in all that mana.

  Oh and Freed from the Real is insane with some of the tap/untap creatures. I'd look to include that over a sword.

Couple of Suggestions:
1 of each color of legendary lands. Just in case you get color screwed. Plus Sisaying for 3 lands and dropping them all is ridiculous.

2. Rude Awakening with Derevi is ridiculous. Get in for a free 20 damage and they all uptap themselves.

3. Guilded Lotus is awesome with Derevi. You need to abuse the amount of mana he gives you.

4. Karoos are awesome with Derevi. I've dropped Derevi then untapped one land for another 2 mana giving me access to continue to play out my hand.

  Oh Pod and a suite of 4 drops in Derevi is also ridiculous. I usually keep a toolbox of 4 CMC creatures. Then you can bring Derevi back and untap pod and pod again

    And add Arcanus he's a must have and Jushi Apprentice is a house sometimes. Even though his draw is expensive he's not a huge target and when he flips I typically am able to draw 50+ cards then turn around and deck people.

You should add a Riptide Labratory. Reuse those wizard ETB's and dodge removal.

When I finish my Derevi deck we should see who has the better plan...I still think a Sisay package is the way to go with Derevi.

  You got it ;-). As you can see I'm going heavy equipment. Since she's so easy to recast, Voltron could be a great approach and flexible for 1v1 too.
