Control, control, control until you get a Gnarlid or two out. Snake Umbra is great if you can get it out right after a Gnarlid is dropped early. Spirit Dancer should obviously get out there ASAP for extra draw power. Wind Zendikon is wonderful for early aggro, aura addition, and blocking pesky haste or infect creatures, as well as blocking flyers. Abuse Narcolepsy as you will, and use Arrest for the special ability creatures.
